Former Atiku Aide Reveals The Secret of Those Who Are Behind Insecurity In Nigeria

Daniel Bwala, a former spokesperson for Atiku Abubakar’s 2023 presidential campaign, has suggested that politicians are driving insecurity in Nigeria. Speaking on Channels TV’s *Politics Today*, Bwala echoed former Finance Minister Okonjo Iweala’s assertion that political figures are using insecurity as a weapon.
Bwala concurred with Iweala’s perspective, attributing the rising insecurity to those who lost in recent elections. He pointed to recent protests, noting the presence of elements aiming to undermine democracy by inciting foreign intervention and disrupting national stability.
He elaborated, “The recent protests, which saw foreign flags being waved and calls for foreign powers to intervene, illustrate how some politicians are orchestrating unrest. This pattern has been evident in Nigeria’s history, often driven by those who have lost elections. Such actions are typically aimed at destabilizing the government to force a change in power.”
Despite his criticism of certain politicians, Bwala acknowledged the efforts of patriotic citizens working towards positive change, affirming his agreement with Iweala’s view that insecurity is often fueled by those sidelined from political power.
