Former Minister of Women Affairs Responds to her Dismissal
Kennedy Ohanenye, the former Minister of Women Affairs, has spoken out following her removal by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a message shared on her X account (formerly Twitter), Ohanenye expressed her gratitude to President Tinubu and the Nigerian people for the opportunity to serve.
Her dismissal, along with that of four other officials, was announced after a meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) on Wednesday.
In a letter titled “Letter of Appreciation,” she wrote: “I wish to sincerely thank President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for allowing me to serve as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. It has been a true honor to contribute to our nation’s development.”
She also acknowledged the support of Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady, stating that her guidance played a significant role during her time in office.
Ohanenye expressed deep appreciation to the Nigerian public for their unwavering support, noting that their trust has continually inspired her.
“I remain committed to serving my country and will strive to contribute to its progress and prosperity,” she concluded.
