Appeal for Unity Among Political Leaders and Traditional Rulers to Secure Victory for Yayi
William Shakespeare once wrote in Twelfth Night, “Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them.” This timeless quote aptly captures the essence of the monumental presidential endorsement of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi, a distinguished son of both Egba and Yewa/Awori lands, who currently represents Ogun West Senatorial District.
The remarkable endorsement of Senator Adeola Yayi as the next Governor of Ogun State by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, through Vice President Kashim Shettima, is a powerful affirmation of his destiny as the rightful successor to Governor Dapo Abiodun in 2027. This endorsement marks a turning point for Ogun State, confirming Senator Yayi’s undeniable leadership qualities and vision for the future.
In light of this unprecedented support, the Egba Heritage Foundation calls on all political and traditional leaders in Ogun West to rally behind the presidential endorsement and unite for the success of Senator Yayi’s 2027 governorship bid. It is crucial that we avoid the mistakes of 2011 and 2015, when Ogun West missed out on the opportunity to produce the state governor.

Key Achievements in Ogun West Under Senator Yayi’s Leadership:
School Infrastructure Development:
Construction of 12-classroom blocks with staff rooms and libraries at multiple schools across Ogun West, including in Imeko-Afon, Yewa North, Yewa South, and Ado-Odo Ota.
Road Infrastructure Projects:
Rehabilitation and construction of key roads, including Afon Township Road, Area 5 to Immigration Junction, and numerous township roads across Ogun West.
ICT and Healthcare Development:
Establishment of ICT centers at Nazareth High School, Imeko, and other educational institutions.
Introduction of Intensive Care Units (ICUs) at General Hospitals in Ilaro and Ota to improve healthcare delivery.
