HON. ADEOYE EMMANUEL TEMITOPE First-Class Honours Award Initiative

I am HON. ADEOYE EMMANUEL TEMITOPE, a graduate of Agricultural Engineering from the Federal University of Technology, Akure. A proud indigene of Ifewara in Atakunmosa West Local Government Area of Osun State, born and raised in Ilesa, Ilesa East Local Government. My roots in Ijeshaland run deep, and I have witnessed firsthand the brilliance, resilience, and determination of our youth.
In recognition of academic excellence and to encourage more outstanding performance among our students, I am launching the First-Class Honours Award, effective from July 26, 2025. This initiative will offer ₦20,000 per semester to undergraduate students of Ijesha origin who attain First-Class status in any Federal University in Nigeria.
The award is open to deserving students from the six local governments of Ijeshaland which are: Atakunmosa East, Atakunmosa West, Obokun, Oriade, Ilesa East, and Ilesa West. All claims will be duly verified through the students’ respective universities before disbursement (University verification as a strict condition). This is not just about rewarding results, it’s about igniting a passion for excellence and showing that the sacrifices and hard work of our youth are recognized
and valued.
By encouraging academic brilliance, we are investing in the future of Ijeshaland and Nigeria at large. May this token serve as a stepping stone for greater achievements and inspire others to strive for academic distinction.
