Yemisi Ogunleye of Germany delivered a remarkable performance in the women’s shot put at the Paris 2024 Olympics, securing the gold medal on August 9th at Stade de France.Â

Ogunleye’s winning throw measured 20.00 meters, earning her the top spot on the podium. New Zealand’s Maddison-Lee Wesche took silver with a throw of 19.86 meters, while Song Jiayuan of China claimed the bronze with a 19.32-meter throw.
