How Kano Commissioner Refunds ₦100 Million Surplus Funds

The Kano State Commissioner for Local Governments, Alhaji Tajuddin Usman, has refunded ₦100 million to the state government’s account.
The funds represent savings from a contract awarded for sewing school uniforms for 789,000 primary school pupils across the state’s 44 local government areas.
Usman, who also heads the distribution committee, disclosed this during the official launch of the uniform distribution at the Kano State Government House on Monday. He stated that the surplus funds were returned after the project was successfully completed.
The initiative, aimed at providing uniforms for public primary school pupils, was part of the state government’s efforts to improve access to quality education.
