How LAUTECH students lost their lives while coming back from excursion
A yet-to-be ascertained number of 500-level Accounting students of Ladoke Akintola University (LAUTECH) Ogbomoso, Oyo State lost their lives in a fatal accident while returning from an excursion to Erin-Ijesa Waterfall in Osun State on Wednesday evening, September 27.
The bus had an accident that resulted in a fire outbreak around Ilobu-Okinni-Osogbo in Osun State.
The details of the accident are still sketchy.
Confirming the incident, the Public Relations Officer of the institution, Lekan Fadeyin, said lives were lost in the accident but could not confirm the number as he is yet to receive more information on the incident.
“I can confirm to you that there was an accident while some students passed on but I have not gotten the details of their identities,” the school spokesperson said
The students were said to have organised an excursion to Erin-Ijesa Waterfall after their first semester exam as part of their activities as final year students.
