Force Spokesperson Muyiwa Adejobi highlighted the arrest of a prominent arms dealer, Jubril Musa, in Plateau State, who allegedly supplied weapons to bandits and kidnappers. He stated, “Since October 1, 2024, we have made significant strides in combating crime, including the capture of suspects involved in armed robbery, kidnapping, and other violent offenses.”

Adejobi detailed Musa’s arrest, noting that he was found with various types of ammunition and firearms, including a Makarov pistol and live rounds of different calibers. Musa confessed to supplying these weapons to criminal elements in the region.

Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun reassured citizens of their safety and outlined ongoing strategies to enhance security through tactical operations, intelligence-led policing, and community engagement. Adejobi emphasized the police’s commitment to maintaining safety and order in the country.
