JAMB Releases 2025 Admission Cut-Off Marks, Reveals Top UTME Performers

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the minimum cut-off scores required for entry into tertiary institutions for the 2025 academic year.

 

For university admissions, candidates must attain a minimum score of 150. Those seeking admission into polytechnics and colleges of education will need at least 100, while colleges of nursing sciences have set their cut-off at 140.

 

In addition to announcing the admission thresholds, JAMB also highlighted the top scorers in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

 

Chinedu Christian Okeke, hailing from Anambra State, topped the list with an impressive score of 375 out of 400. He plans to study Mechanical Engineering at the University of Lagos (UNILAG).

 

Following closely was Simon-Peter John Ayuba from Gombe State, who scored 374 and has chosen Afe Babalola University (ABUAD) to pursue the same course.

 

The third-highest scorer, Jimoh Abdulmalik Olayinka from Kwara State, earned 373 and also selected UNILAG for Mechanical Engineering.
