JAMB Releases 2025 UTME Resit Results as Over 21,000 Candidates Fail to Show Up

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) rescheduled results for candidates affected by technical disruptions. This update comes as reported by News360 Nigeria.
According to the board, a total of 336,845 candidates were slated to retake the exam. However, 21,082 candidates failed to appear for the rescheduled test. No official explanation was provided for the large number of absentees.
JAMB made the announcement through a statement issued on Sunday by its Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin. The statement clarified that after excluding centres with successful earlier sessions and incorporating previously unverified candidates, the final number of those expected stood at 336,845.
“Out of the 336,845 candidates scheduled, 21,082 were absent,” the statement read.
