Keyamo gives reason for suspending Nigeria Air and airport concession
Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo has explained why he suspended the Nigeria Air project and airport concession.
The minister said the decision was taken following complaints from members of the public and agencies of government.
Keyamo who disclosed this while inspecting the ongoing second runway project of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA), Abuja, said;
“It would be irresponsible of me as a minister to come in and agencies of government are raising red flags here and there and I would keep quiet.
“I am not talking about people, Nigerians complaining now, agencies of government are raising red flags about both projects and I as a government functionary cannot waive all those red flags away.”
He added that the next step will be for the Federal Government as a body, not just him, will be to look at all the reports.
