The kidnappers of Retired General Maharazu Tsiga, the former Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), have demanded a ransom of ₦250 million for his release.
General Tsiga was abducted on Wednesday night when a group of over 100 armed men stormed his residence in Katsina State.

Following the kidnapping, security forces have launched an operation to locate and rescue the former NYSC chief.
A family source, who wished to remain anonymous, informed Daily Trust on Friday that the kidnappers had reached out, demanding ₦250 million as a condition for his safe release.
