Kinigbe: Local Government Election Will Show Whether Wike Controls FCT

Senator Ireti Kingibe, who represents the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has stated that the upcoming local council elections in Abuja will reveal the true level of public support for the Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike.
Kingibe expressed that many residents are dissatisfied with Wike’s leadership, accusing him of being disconnected from their everyday realities and failing to address their most pressing concerns.
“There’s a growing sense of frustration among the people,” she remarked. “They feel neglected and disrespected by the minister’s approach.”
She emphasized that the local elections would serve as a clear message from the people, reflecting their stance on his administration. “This election will be a moment of reckoning. The people will make it clear who truly has a stake in the FCT,” she said.
