Kunle Rasheed Adegoke (K-RAD) has received a resounding endorsement from elders and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osogbo Local Government, further consolidating his momentum in the race for the Osun Central Senatorial District seat.

At a well-attended consultative meeting in Osogbo, party elders unanimously expressed confidence in Adegoke’s candidacy, describing him as a credible, tested, and people-oriented leader with the capacity to effectively represent the district at the National Assembly.

Speaking on behalf of the forum, Chairman of the Osogbo LG Elders Forum, Alhaji Raimi Adegboye (popularly known as Baba Fefe), offered prayers and a firm endorsement of the aspiration.

“God is with you, we are with you, and the people of Osogbo are with you. This ticket is for you. May you serve Allah and our people faithfully when you eventually become our senator,” he declared.

The meeting drew a strong presence of influential party stakeholders, including Hon. Femi Adejumo, Secretary of the Elders Forum; Hon. Adeoye Adelakun, APC Central Senatorial Leader; Elder Onibonokuta; Hon. Saheed Onibonokuta, Chairman of Osogbo Local Government; Hon. Mustapha Adetomi, former Osogbo LG Chairman; and Hon. Layi Oyeduntan, former Osun State Commissioner for Health, among others.

In his remarks, Adegoke expressed profound gratitude for the endorsement, framing his aspiration as a shared responsibility anchored on service, inclusiveness, and development.
“This is a call to service, not a personal ambition. It is a collective movement to uplift our people, deepen representation, and deliver tangible progress across our communities. I am humbled by this show of trust and encouraged by the unity of purpose we are building,” he said.

The visit also featured a strong delegation from Olorunda Local Government, underscoring the widening base of support for Adegoke’s candidacy. The delegation included Alhaji Kabir Adepoju (Party Chairman), Alhaji Aminu Hammed (Party Chairman, North), Alhaji Mufu Oladapo (Elders Chairman, North), Hon. Taiwo Sunmonu, Hon. Rasaq Adeosun, Hon. Shola Oladepo, Hon. Kunle Akande, Arc. Johnson Koledowo (Elders Secretary), Elder Omigbodun (Party Secretary), Mr. Abiodun Kilanko (former Party Chairman), Soladoye Johnson, Kasal Kazeem (Council Chairman), Abiodun Ajisebiyawo, Alhaja Kehinde Iwinsinmi (Local Women Leader), and Mr. Olawoyin.

The endorsement comes at a critical phase of the APC senatorial nomination process. Sales of nomination forms close at midnight on Monday, May 4, 2026, while submission of completed forms has been extended to midnight on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. Screening of aspirants is scheduled to hold between May 6 and May 9, 2026, with the senatorial primaries slated for May 20, 2026.

Observers note that the overwhelming backing from Osogbo elders, combined with expanding grassroots alignment across local governments, positions Adegoke as a formidable contender as the race enters its decisive stages.
