Kwara Student Found Dead After Being Deceived by Pastor’s Son for Rituals

A female student from the Kwara State College of Health Technology in Offa, who had been missing for a week, has been discovered deceased in a bush in Ilorin. The victim, Awesu Mojisola Morufat, had recently completed her studies in the Public Health Department and was set to graduate shortly before her death.

Reports indicate that Morufat was lured to Ilorin by her boyfriend, Promise Ogunse, under the pretense of attending a friend’s birthday party. It is alleged that she was killed for ritual purposes.

Promise Ogunse and his father, Prophet Adeniyi Adebayo, also known as Prophet Ogunse of The Light of God Miracle Embassy Church in Offa, Kwara State, have been arrested in connection with the crime. The case has now been transferred to the police headquarters in Ilorin.

Sources reveal that Promise Ogunse, the son of the church founder, invited Morufat to a hotel in Ilorin last week. Her body was later discovered at a dumpsite, and it is believed that hotel staff might have been involved in disposing of her remains after the suspects fled.
The Kwara State Police Command has detained both suspects, but a spokesperson has not yet provided an official update on the case.
