Lagos Police Arrest Armed Robber in Agege

The Lagos State Police Command apprehended a suspected armed robber in the Agege area on Saturday.
In a tweet, SP Benjamin Hundeyin identified the suspect as 25-year-old Toibu Hassan. He was arrested around 6:00 am by officers from the Elere Police Division under the Agege Pen-Cinema Bridge. The suspect was found with a locally-made pistol and an expended cartridge. Investigations are currently ongoing.
“Today, at 6 am, under the Agege Pen-Cinema bridge, Toibu Hassan, aged 25, was arrested by officers from Elere Division with one locally made pistol and one expended cartridge. Investigation is ongoing,” Hundeyin tweeted.
In response to numerous complaints about harassment and petty robberies along the rail lines in Agege, the Commissioner of Police for Lagos State, CP Adegoke Fayoade, conducted a fact-finding visit to the area. Following his visit, he ordered a restructuring of the security measures in the area and directed the local DPOs to enhance security provision.
