Dr. Thomas Olaleye Ogungbangbe has said the news of the death of a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and elder statesman is a bolt of lightning on a clear day.

He expressed shock today at the demise of Honourable Olubisi Odewumi, and depicted him as deeply dedicated and loyal to the party, its ideology, values, policies, and leadership decisions and influences that reportedly, shaped personal opinions, position, and loyalty of the departed, aligned with the party’s interests.

Ogungbangbe, a bigwig of the APC and Senate aspirant from Osun East Senatorial District recalled that “the relationships of Hon. Odewumi within the party while alive had swayed party dynamics in his Ife-North state constituency of Osun State, in favour of mobilization for the party agenda, unity and progress, and citizenry’s support.

“I have it on good authority that our dear party faithful was acclaimed a crucial figure who provided significant leadership backing, guidance, and stability to our party, APC, in Ifeland, and a strong pillar that shaped the party’s direction and decision implementation.

“He was also feted, admired for his immense contributions to the party stability that assisted party cohesion and shared purpose among party members, with the party’s actions, reputation, and external perception favourably influenced.”

Prince Ogungbangbe commistrated with the Osun APC leaderships and members on the death of the former Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in the state, and his proven track record of effective, accountable, transparent and responsive contributions to governance and grassroots development.

According to the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) CITA ENERGIES, the loved party loyalist, activist and leader left lasting ramifications of sustainable development and improved quality of life for individuals and communities.

He stated, from what I have heard, “Hon. Odewumi was a successful team manager of complex farming projects with in-depth knowledge and understanding of farming best practice, and he motivated productive farming expertise in young farmers, well mentored and developed by him.

“He added that the actions, activities and events of the departed party chief remain the intense, jarring impact of losing a committed party man with the family, relatives, friends, business and political associates, feeling stunned and caught in a sudden, unexpected storm.”

Ogungbangbe, heartbroken, shared in the grieving moments, bearing the weight of grief, and prayed all find solace in the warmth of The Creator.
