Marrying a Virgin Doesn’t Guarantee You Married Right — Pastor Kosi Ebirim

Some men think marrying a virgin is all it takes to say they’ve made the right choice in a wife. But that’s far from the truth.
According to Pastor Kosi Ebirim, a woman being a virgin doesn’t mean she has the qualities that keep a home together. Virginity doesn’t equal good character. It doesn’t mean she’s wise, kind, humble, respectful, or emotionally mature.
A virgin can still be rude, proud, nagging, manipulative, ungrateful, or totally unready for the demands of marriage.
Marriage needs more than just physical purity — it needs peace, understanding, respect, and spiritual grounding. Without those, you’re simply in a holy-looking mess.
Men need to start looking beyond just “purity” and focus on the traits that really matter in a life partner. Is she peaceful? Does she have sense? Does she fear God? Can she support you and grow with you?
Don’t let pressure or tradition push you into choosing a wife based only on whether she’s a virgin. Look for character, maturity, and purpose — not just a clean record.
