Miss Nollywood Queen Hassana Ozohu Salisu Declares Candidacy for AGN Chairperson in Kogi State

Crowned Miss Nollywood International 2025, Queen Hassana Ozohu Salisu has officially announced her intention to contest for the position of Chairperson in the Kogi State chapter of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), with a vision to transform the state’s entertainment industry and empower local creatives.
A Mission Rooted in Vision: Why I’m Running for AGN Leadership in Kogi
I am Queen Hassana Ozohu Salisu—Miss Nollywood International 2025, entrepreneur, author, and a proud daughter of Kogi State. As I step forward to contest in the AGN elections, I do so with deep purpose and a clear commitment to advancing our creative community.
Art holds the power to change lives, unite cultures, and tell the untold stories of our people. Kogi State is brimming with incredible artistic talent—actors, filmmakers, writers, and visionaries—but we continue to face barriers that limit our growth. This is why I am running—not just as a representative, but as a passionate advocate for lasting change.
My experience as a beauty queen and entrepreneur has exposed me to both the glamour and the grind of the entertainment industry. Through this journey, I’ve learned the value of leadership, the strength of collaboration, and the power of community-driven progress. As of July 2025, Kogi is home to over 2,000 active actors working across various productions—a clear sign of our potential.
If elected, my vision for AGN Kogi will focus on four key pillars:
—
1. Building Strong Industry Connections
Let’s unite actors, producers, directors, and creatives into one collaborative network. Together, we can produce groundbreaking projects that earn Kogi a place on the global entertainment stage.
2. Empowering Through Training and Mentorship
I plan to introduce workshops, capacity-building programs, and mentorship opportunities to help our artists sharpen their skills and stay competitive in today’s fast-changing industry.
3. Accessing Resources and Support
Artists need access to funding, grants, and mentorship. I will work with both public and private sectors to unlock these opportunities for our creatives to grow and succeed.
4. Celebrating Diversity and Inclusion
From our diverse cultures to emerging voices, every artist deserves to be seen and heard. I will champion representation and inclusivity at every level of our guild.

This campaign is more than a candidacy—it’s a movement to strengthen, uplift, and inspire the artistic spirit of Kogi State. I invite all creatives, partners, and supporters to stand with me in shaping a brighter future for our entertainment sector.
Let’s create a legacy of excellence, unity, and progress in the Kogi State AGN. The 2025 election is our chance to dream bigger, work harder, and rise together.
With passion and purpose,
Queen Hassana Ozohu Salisu
