Mob Set Man Ablaze For Killing Female POS Operator in Taraba
In Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba State, a man was set ablaze by a mob after he stabbed and killed an 18-year-old female Point of Sale (POS) operator. The young woman was reportedly preparing for her NECO exams before the tragic event.
The incident occurred on Monday near the Wukari Yam market. Outraged by the man’s actions, local residents chased him down, apprehended him, and then set him on fire.
Ismaila Dauda, Chairman of Wukari LGA, confirmed the incident to the press, stating, “A young man stabbed a POS operator to death on Monday, June 17. He was pursued, caught, and lynched by a mob. It’s a sad and unfortunate incident, especially since the victim was an 18-year-old girl preparing for her NECO exams.”
The State Police Command’s spokesperson, DSP Gambo Kwache, also verified the occurrence.
