September 5th, 2025, the National Association of Ipetu Ijesa Students (NAIIS), National Body, held the grand finale of its free summer lessons program in Titilayo Ilesanmi hall, Ipetu Ijesa, a transformative initiative that benefited over 700 students from Ipetu Ijesa Secondary School. This impactful academic support program was fully sponsored by Amb. Chief Olaniyi Francis Ilesanmi, the Majeobaote 1 of Ipetu Ijesa Kingdom, founder of the Majeobaote Foundation, Chief Patron of Friends of Seyi Tinubu Humanitarian Foundation (FOST), and an aspirant for the Osun East Senatorial seat.

The summer program, championed by the current NAIIS leadership under Comr. Omotoso Timileyin (Sir Timmy), was designed to help students from JSS1 to SS2 sharpen their academic skills and prepare for the new school year. Amb. Chief Olaniyi, in his opening remarks, passionately urged students to take leadership and education seriously. He shared his personal journey of service and academic excellence, from class captain in primary school to senior prefect and university faculty president, encouraging students to avoid distractions and stay focused on their goals.

In recognition of his unwavering support for education and youth development, Amb. Chief Olaniyi Ilesanmi received multiple prestigious awards during the event:

Patron Award from the National Association of Ipetu Ijesa Students (NAIIS), National Body

Medal of Honour from the National Association of University Students (NAUS), presented through the NAUS National President, Comr. Peter Oche, which was presented to Amb. Ilesanmi by the National President of the National Association of College of Education Students, Comr. Samuel Oluwaseun Egunjobi

A National Award as a Youth Builder and Community Developer, also presented by the NAUS National President, Comr. Peter Oche, in acknowledgement of his exceptional contributions to youth empowerment and grassroots development.

 

 

Generous Donations and Empowerment Initiatives

Amb. Ilesanmi receiving medal through NACES Nat President

Amb. Olaniyi didn’t stop at sponsoring the summer lessons, he went further by:

 

Donating ₦1 million to the National Association of University Students (NAUS) in support of their coming to the celebration of the event with the National Association of Ipetu Ijesa students.

Awarding scholarships to the 10 most punctual students from Elefosan Secondary School to cover their O-level exam fees.

 

Pledging scholarship to the best 10 students for WAEC/NECO in the just concluded free NAIIS summer lesson

 

Pledging a personal scholarship to a standout student for his GCE examinations, in recognition of his academic dedication and for testifying to the good deed of Amb. Chief Olaniyi Ilesanmi

 

 

His campaign Director-General, Mr Tolu Oni (Achiever), also rewarded *the best two commercial department students with cash prizes*, further motivating excellence among the participants.

 

Promises for Continued Impact and Expansion

Amb. Olaniyi made several future-focused promises to further improve student welfare and academic engagement:

 

Free meals every Friday during next year’s summer lessons.

 

Provision of free writing materials for all participating students.

 

Introduction of sports activities, volleyball and football for both boys and girls, with full provision of kits and training materials.

 

A stipend for senior students who volunteer to teach younger ones during future summer lessons, which will promote peer mentorship.

 

Encouraged students aged 18 and above to register for their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs), emphasising the power of youth in shaping the future.

Chief Olaniyi encouraged fellow students to remain serious and committed to their education. Multiple student testimonials echoed the impact of the program, with several citing it as a life-changing academic and personal experience.

 

Looking Ahead: A Broader Vision for Osun East

 

In his media interviews with Press Men, Amb. Olaniyi revealed that his inspiration comes from his own humble beginnings, where his academic performance earned him fee waivers. He emphasised that initiatives like this summer lesson program played a pivotal role in his success.

 

He expressed readiness to partner with other indigenous student associations in the Osun East Senatorial District to expand similar programs across other local governments. He encouraged indigenous student bodies that need financial support and have proper planning for free summer lessons to reach out for collaboration with him

 

A Proven Leader and Philanthropist

 

Amb. Chief Olaniyi Ilesanmi has consistently proven himself a leader deeply committed to youth development, educational advancement, and community empowerment. With his philanthropic footprint growing steadily across Osun East, many believe his track record is a clear indication of what he can achieve if entrusted with the senatorial mandate.

 

“I do all these because I believe all men need to be provided for, when a man is helping others, he will not need any introduction before he is known on earth and in heaven,” he said.

 

 

As a humanitarian, youth mentor, and visionary leader, Amb. Chief Olaniyi Francis Ilesanmi continues to demonstrate that leadership is about impact, not position.
