NBA Commends Tinubu for Signing the Nigerian Maritime University Bill

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has extended congratulations to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for signing the Nigerian Maritime University Bill into law, marking a historic step forward. This development comes years after the idea for the university was first proposed as a potential solution to the issues in the Niger Delta.

The establishment of the Nigerian Maritime University is expected to generate job opportunities for the Niger Delta region and equip Nigerians with specialized skills in the maritime industry. The NBA views the President’s approval as a positive move towards fostering peace and stability in the region.

Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, President of the Nigerian Bar Association, urged the people of the Niger Delta to safeguard the institution and create an ideal learning environment for aspiring maritime professionals.
