No coalition can challenge APC, only PDP can — Wike
No coalition can challenge APC, only PDP can — Wike

Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has criticized the new opposition coalition led by the African Democratic Congress (ADC). He said the group is not strong or united enough to take on President Bola Tinubu’s government.
In a talk with reporters on Thursday, Wike called the coalition a last-ditch effort by politicians who failed to take control of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
“There is no real coalition,” Wike said. “The opposition has fallen apart. The only party that can challenge this government, if they organize properly, is the PDP.”
He also accused former Senate President David Mark of trying to take over the PDP leadership but being rejected, and then joining the ADC coalition as interim chairman.
“David Mark wanted to lead the party, but we said no. When they wanted the chairman to come from North Central, we refused. We stood firm,” Wike explained. “Now he’s chairing this coalition. Let’s see who Nigerians will trust.”
