Obi Calls for a Strong Response to Insecurity and Economic Challenges

Peter Obi
Obi has emphasized the urgent need to confront the ongoing issues of insecurity, economic instability, and power shortages, despite some criticism and misinterpretation of his stance.
In recent days, Nigeria has seen numerous kidnappings, including about 20 dental students from Maiduguri and Jos in Benue State, and an Anambra State Commissioner and his wife who were abducted in Edo State, with others traveling with them killed. These incidents are part of a disturbing pattern of violence and insecurity.
Obi argues that the country cannot continue living under the shadow of fear, poverty, and darkness. He advocates for decisive action, a united effort, and a determined fight against these pervasive threats.
“We must confront this severe insecurity and other societal issues head-on to foster a safer, more prosperous, and equitable society for everyone,” Obi stated.
