In Iloko Ijesa, Oriade LG, It was a moment of political reawakening and strategic mobilisation yesterday, Sunday, June 29, 2025, as the Ogungbangbe Osun East Movement, Vision 2027, officially launched its campaign structure to support the senatorial ambition of Prince Thomas Olaleye Ogungbangbe (PhD), a prominent philanthropist, an indigene of Iloko Ijesa, and an aspirant contesting for Senate, Osun East

The event, which took place in the heart of Iloko Ijesa, attracted notable youth leaders, community mobilizers, and grassroots influencers from across Iloko Ijesa. This movement is under the banner of Vision 2027, which aims to galvanise support for Prince Olaleye Thomas Ogungbangbe in his bid to clinch the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket and ultimately emerge as Senator representing Osun East come 2027.

This Movement is coordinated by Mr. Temitayo Ogungbangbe, known as Captain Smart*. The meeting was charged with renewed energy and unity. Captain Smart encouraged all attendees to remain committed to securing victory for Prince Thomas Olaleye Ogungbangbe, both at the party primaries and the general election. He also emphasised the need for solid grassroots coordination ahead of the 2026 Osun State gubernatorial election, calling on all APC loyalists to work in synergy.

According to FIRSTCLASSGISTS, Mrs Oyetunde Bola spoke about the philanthropist deed of Prince Thomas Olaleye Ogungbangbe and how the entire Osun East will feel his impact for development if given the chance to win the election, Mrs Elizabeth spoke about the need of this movement to have vibrant youths, dedicated and committed people as ward coordinators, while Mr Femi Fanifosi spoke about how Prince Thomas Olaleye Ogungbangbe has been doing widespread consultation with party leaders, he also charged members present, of the need to work for APC in the next Osun state gubernatorial election

In a bid to boost visibility and promote the candidate, the movement distributed branded caps and polo vests to members and supporters, including the Ogungbangbe Movement Media Team (OMMT). As part of efforts to empower the team and enhance their efficiency, two power banks were also presented to them to aid their media coverage and online engagement.

Among the key figures present at the event were the APC Ward 11 Vice Chairman, Mr. Sunday Fapojuwo; Ward 11 Women Leader, Mrs. Elizabeth Olajumoke Arowolo; and Mrs. Oyetunde Bola, a respected canvasser, who is serving as this Movement’s women’s coordinator. Also in attendance was Mr. Femi Fanifosi, one of the newest defectors from the opposition PDP, who pledged his full support for the Ogungbangbe project.
Speaking with FIRSTCLASSGISTS shortly after the event, the coordinator Mr Temitayo Ogungbangbe, reaffirmed that the core mission of Vision 2027 is to “mobilise, market, and canvass support” for Prince Thomas Olaleye Ogungbangbe across all wards in Osun East, with a clear strategy focused on ensuring his emergence as the party’s senatorial candidate and eventual victory in the general election.
