Oriade South Progressive Youth Movement Endorses Prince Thomas Ogungbangbe for Senate, Osun East

The Oriade South Progressive Youth Movement (OSPYM) proudly announces its full and unwavering endorsement of Prince Thomas Ogungbangbe, an illustrious son of Iloko Ijesa in Oriade Local Government Area, for the Osun East Senatorial seat. This endorsement comes after careful deliberation, extensive consultations across youth blocs and community stakeholders, and an objective assessment of the leadership qualities, capacity, and track record of all aspirants.

Prince Thomas Ogungbangbe stands out as a man of vision, tested commitment, and unwavering dedication to the growth and development of Osun East. His name is not just known, it is respected. His footprint in party politics and grassroots engagement has been both consistent and impactful. Unlike many who only become visible during election periods, Prince Thomas has, over 20 years, demonstrated a deep-rooted passion for people-oriented politics.

He has been a pillar of support for party candidates at all levels, from councillorship to gubernatorial contests. He has supported the party machinery financially and logistically, long before he ever declared any personal political ambition. His generosity has not been selective; party leaders, members, and even everyday constituents have felt his hand of support. From sponsoring empowerment initiatives to paying tuition fees for indigent students, his philanthropy knows no boundaries.

Through various community-based programs, Prince Thomas has provided tools for artisans, supported market women with grants, and created vocational opportunities for unemployed youth. His educational aid schemes have offered scholarships to hundreds of students across the senatorial district, giving hope and a future to many families. These are not just token gestures; they are the deliberate actions of a man who understands what service truly means.

Most commendable is his pledge to run a transparent and participatory representation model. Prince Thomas has publicly committed to constituting a constituency-project committee that will directly oversee how constituency allowances are spent if he emerged. This means that projects will be identified by the people, for the people, and executed transparently under community supervision. This is a refreshing departure from the norm, and it is a testament to the trust he has in the people and his belief in accountability.

Prince Thomas Ogungbangbe is not driven by personal ambition alone, he is propelled by a genuine desire to see Osun East flourish. He embodies the kind of leadership that is responsive, responsible, and relatable. In him, we see a rare blend of humility, capacity, and courage to speak truth to power and fight for what is right.

As a movement committed to the progress of Oriade South and beyond, we call on all youths, party faithful, community leaders, and voters across Osun East to rally behind Prince Thomas Ogungbangbe. Let us entrust our mandate to someone who has consistently shown love for the people even when there were no cameras, someone whose word is his bond, and whose ambition is tied to the progress of our land.

We believe that with Prince Thomas Ogungbangbe in the Senate, the voice of Osun East will be louder, stronger, and truly representative.

Signed,

Oriade South Progressive Youth Movement (OSPYM)
