In a bold political statement ahead of the 2026 Osun governorship race, key figures within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ede South Local Government have declared full support for Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO, while signaling their determination to dislodge the current governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke.

This unified stance was made known during a strategic visit by the AMBO Grassrootters, a prominent coalition of past and recently reinstated local government chairmen from 2017 to date. The group, currently on a statewide mobilization tour, was warmly received by APC stakeholders who endorsed Oyebamiji’s gubernatorial ambition, praising his track record in public service, strong grassroots appeal, and visionary leadership.

Speaking at the event, the Director General of AMBO Grassrootters, Hon. Oloyede Adekunle—who also serves as Chairman of Irepodun South LCDA—described AMBO as a seasoned political figure whose experience and deep understanding of Osun’s political landscape make him the ideal candidate to take the state forward.
