PDP Chieftain Challenges Wike, Labels Him a Coward

Mark Jacob, the former legal adviser of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has taken a strong stance against FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, accusing him of cowardice for not resigning from the PDP despite his critical stance towards the party.

In an interview with ARISE NEWS on Thursday, Jacob stated, “Wike is a coward who lacks the courage to leave the PDP and join the APC. If he is so opposed to the PDP, he should have the decency to resign. It is hypocritical and lacking in integrity to criticize the PDP while still claiming membership.”

Jacob emphasized that it’s time to confront Wike with the truth, asserting that one cannot legitimately claim to be a member of the PDP while actively opposing it. He expressed disappointment with the PDP’s current state, describing it as a “sad day” for anyone associated with the party.

According to Jacob, the PDP is failing in its role as the main opposition, engaging instead in internal disputes driven by ego and personal interests. He criticized the party’s leadership for its failure to address pressing issues and noted that at recent NEC meetings, attempts to discuss critical matters were dismissed.

Reflecting on his tenure, Jacob remarked that such behavior would not have been tolerated during his time as legal adviser. He expressed skepticism about the PDP’s ability to effectively challenge the ruling government, suggesting the party has become unresponsive to the concerns of its members.

Jacob called on the PDP leadership to set aside personal agendas and refocus on the party’s core responsibilities, urging a return to being a strong and unified opposition force.
