In a statement issued after a high-level meeting at the PDP National Secretariat in Abuja, the NWC maintained that Senator Anyanwu remains the legally recognized and constitutionally elected National Secretary of the party. “The NWC, after careful consideration and in line with the provisions of the PDP Constitution, confirms that Senator Samuel Anyanwu continues to serve as the National Secretary of the party. His election into the office remains valid, and no lawful process has nullified his position,” the statement read.
Senator Anyanwu, a seasoned politician and former lawmaker from Imo State, has played a central role in the PDP’s organizational strategy, especially in the South-East region.
