In a series of operations in Kaduna and Zamfara States, Nigerian Army troops successfully neutralized seven terrorists and rescued four hostages.Â
According to an official statement on the Nigerian Army’s X handle, troops also dismantled camps of the banned Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in Abia State, defusing three IEDs and seizing various weapons.
In Kaduna State, a two-day patrol in Kajuru and Kachia local government areas led to a confrontation at Dantarau, where troops killed five terrorists and seized arms, including two AK-47 rifles, a fabricated submachine gun (SMG), nine AK-47 magazines, 250 rounds of 7.62mm (special) ammunition, two motorcycles, and two handheld radios.
In Zamfara State, troops responded to a distress call on the Gusau-Tsafe-Funtua Road, preventing a kidnapping in Angwan Chida, Tsafe local government area. They engaged the terrorists attempting to abduct occupants of a Toyota Corolla, resulting in the deaths of two terrorists and the successful rescue of four passengers.
