Police Arrests Woman Found with 124 Rounds of Ammunition Hidden in Palm Oil
Nasarawa State Police, working with the Keffi Division, have arrested Hauwa Sani, a woman traveling with a two-year-old child, in possession of dangerous ammunition.Â
Keffi, located 33 kilometers and about a 40-minute drive from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), was the site of the arrest. According to a statement from Nasarawa Police Public Relations Officer, Ramhan Nansel, the arrest occurred on Friday when police officers discovered 124 rounds of anti-aircraft ammunition hidden inside a gallon of palm oil.
The suspect, a resident of Doro village in Katsina State, was apprehended after receiving the ammunition supply at Rafin Sanyi village in Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa State. The suspect was en route to Katsina State when she was intercepted.
The Nasarawa State Commissioner of Police, Umar Shehu Nadada, has directed that both the suspect and the seized ammunition be transferred to the Force Intelligence Department at the Force Headquarters in Abuja for further investigation.
