Presidency Sets 5pm Today for Special FEC Session in Honour of Buhari

In line with the official mourning declared by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a special and expanded session of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) will hold by 5:00 p.m. today, Thursday, at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa in Abuja. This session is being organized in memory of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Before the FEC meeting, a third-day prayer will take place at Buhari’s private residence in Daura, Katsina State. The Vice President, Kashim Shettima, will lead a delegation from the Federal Government—including serving ministers—to attend the prayer session.
Those expected at the expanded FEC meeting include top figures from the National Assembly, members of the judiciary, and family members of the late former leader.
The mourning activities won’t end there. On Friday, July 18, a special prayer will be held at the National Mosque in Abuja. Then, on Sunday, July 20, a Christian service will be held in honour of the late president.
