President Xi Jinping Invites Tinubu to China

Chinese President Xi Jinping has extended an invitation to Nigerian President Bola Tinubu for a state visit to China in September.
The invitation was delivered by China’s Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chen Xiaodong, at the Aso Villa on Thursday.
Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, announced the invitation on social media on Friday. According to Onanuga, President Tinubu has accepted the invitation and hopes the visit will strengthen Nigeria-China bilateral relations and advance the proposed currency swap agreement.
The statement also mentioned that President Xi has invited First Lady Remi Tinubu to accompany President Tinubu on the visit.
