Prominent PDP Grassroots Leader, SOJ Defects to APC in Support of Hon. Oluwole Oke
In a surprising political move, Mr. Soji Akinmoladun popularly called SOJ, a respected grassroots mobilizer from Ipetu Ijesa in Oriade Local Government Area of Osun State, has officially left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Mr. Akinmoladun, who served as the Unit 5, Ward 9 Chairman of the PDP—the most populous polling unit in Ipetu Ijesa with over 2000 registered voters—announced his decision publicly, citing his unwavering loyalty to Hon. Oluwole Oke, the Honourable Member representing Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency.
Akinmoladun described Hon. Oluwole Oke as a dependable and visionary leader, expressing deep admiration for his dedication to the people of the constituency. According to him, his decision to switch parties was driven by trust in Hon. Oke’s leadership, and a desire to align with his political direction.
“I am ready to give my full support to Hon. Oluwole Oke and the APC,” Mr. Akinmoladun stated. “I will work tirelessly to ensure the party’s success in the upcoming elections.”
This is seen as a significant boost for the APC in Ipetu Ijesa, especially with SOJ influence at the grassroots level and his reputation for mobilizing voters effectively.
