Protesters Attack APC Secretariat In Zamfara, Party Condemns Attack

The Zamfara chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has strongly condemned the attack on its state secretariat by protesters.
In a statement issued in Gusau on Monday, State APC Publicity Secretary Yusuf Idris denounced the actions of the individuals involved in the protest, which was initially focused on nationwide economic hardship and hunger.
Idris highlighted that the APC had previously warned the state government to prevent thugs from targeting the party and its leaders during the protests. He noted recent incidents where similar groups had attacked the residence of Senator Sahabi Ya’u in Kaura Namoda and attempted to set fire to the home of former Governor Bello Matawalle in Gusau.
The statement reported that on Monday, the protesters forcibly entered the APC secretariat located on Sokoto Bye Pass Road, Gusau. They vandalized the facility, breaking windows and doors, and stole furniture, equipment, and building materials from the office.
Idris urged security agencies to take immediate action to apprehend those responsible for the vandalism. He also appealed to party members, supporters, and the public to remain peaceful and law-abiding during this turbulent period.
