RCCG PASTOR ANGRY OVER CALLING Him“MR” INSTEAD OF “DR,” DECLARES CURSE ONLINE

An online confrontation involving an RCCG youth pastor has stirred reactions across X, formerly known as Twitter, after he angrily responded to a woman who addressed him as “Mr” instead of “Dr.”

The exchange began when Pastor Bola Abiodun, who identifies himself on the platform as a husband, father of four, and a first-class graduate, corrected a UK-based woman, Tomisin, for referring to him as “Mr.” He insisted that he should be addressed as “Dr” and warned her not to repeat the title he considered disrespectful.

Rather than comply, Tomisin responded playfully, repeatedly calling him “mr” in lowercase, which further escalated the situation. The pastor reacted strongly, describing himself as an “anointed man of God” and cautioning her against what he termed disrespect. He quoted a Bible passage about not touching God’s anointed and claimed he had the spiritual authority to issue a curse.
As the back-and-forth intensified, he went as far as publicly declaring that if she did not apologize and correct herself, she would die in her sleep at a specified time. He even added that if nothing happened, it would invalidate his claim to being a man of God. The statement quickly went viral, with many users mocking the threat and turning the incident into memes while others criticized what they saw as an abuse of religious authority.
The episode has sparked wider debate online about the use of titles among religious leaders and whether such public displays align with the teachings of Christianity, particularly messages centered on humility, love, and forgiveness.
