Reasons Elon Musk Demands for Resignation of US Secret Service Director Over Trump Assassination Attempt

Billionaire Elon Musk has called for the resignation of US Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle following an assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump. In a series of social media posts on Sunday, Musk criticized the Secret Service for failing to detect the attacker before shots were fired, labeling the lapse as either extreme incompetence or a deliberate act.
Musk, who publicly supports Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign, expressed his concern and endorsed Trump, wishing him a swift recovery. “I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery,” Musk wrote in one of his posts.
Responding to a social media user who questioned how an armed sniper managed to get so close to a presidential candidate, Musk stated, “Extreme incompetence or it was deliberate. Either way, the SS (Secret Service) leadership must resign.”
This incident has prompted the US House Oversight Committee to summon Director Cheatle for a hearing scheduled for July 22. The committee stressed the importance of transparency, stating, “Americans demand answers about the assassination attempt of President Trump,” and emphasizing the need for information and clarity on the matter.
