The Inspector General of Police has clarified the significance of the red arm bands worn by officers, stating that they indicate a heightened state of alert within the police force.
He explained, “The red bands signal that our command is operating under heightened alert. For those who argue that they have not received court orders, it is important to recognize the challenges involved in serving notices to individuals who remain anonymous.
In such cases, where threats were made via social media, notifications are issued through the same channels.”
