Season’s Greetings from Engr. Olowu Sunday, House of Representative Aspirant, Labour Party

Engineer Sunday Olowu
As the holiday season approaches, I, Engr. Olowu Sunday MNSE, extend my warmest wishes to you all for a joyful Christmas and a prosperous New Year ahead. During this time of celebration, I would like to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for your unwavering support, love, and guidance. You have been a constant source of strength and inspiration in my life.

This occasion also provides an opportunity to reflect on some important matters. Allow me to briefly share a bit about myself. As many of you know, the name Olowu is associated with royalty, and I am proud to hail from a royal family in Ipetu-Ijesa, Oriade Local Government Area of Osun State. My family heritage is one I hold dear and am committed to preserving with honor and respect.
I am an alumnus of the prestigious Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, graduating in 2007/2008. Following my graduation, I served my mandatory NYSC in Bosso Local Government, Niger State, before I was fortunate enough to begin my career in the oil and gas sector. I have been working as a well engineering consultant since 2008, accumulating 16 years of experience in the field.
To be clear, my entry into politics is not driven by personal ambition or financial need. As God knows, I am not in search of material gain. I do not come to politics to negotiate or make deals for personal profit. My sole motivation is my love for my community. Despite the challenges I’ve faced, it would be unthinkable not to care deeply for the place where I come from. I want to make it known that I will never compromise my values or betray my community for monetary rewards. Let it be clear, Engr. Olowu Sunday will never negotiate or act in a way that undermines the people he serves. Together, let us work to transform the political landscape of Ijesa North Federal Constituency.
In my view, political manifestos are not set in stone. The course of events shapes the priorities and actions of leaders over time, and I stand by that belief. In the past, I have been deeply passionate about sports, and I have contributed both time and resources toward developing sports and empowering the youth in my own small way. My vision for Ipetu-Ijesa and Ijesa North Constituency is clear: to foster development, engage and empower our youth, and provide quality healthcare for our elderly. These are my priorities, and I am committed to making Ijesa a better place for all.
With this in mind, I am announcing my candidacy for the position of Federal Representative under the Labour Party in the 2027 elections. I invite you all to join this movement, to embrace positive change, and to work together for a brighter, more prosperous future. Let’s build a community that values collaboration, sustainability, and the well-being of all its members. I am not here for personal gain, and I promise that your trust and support will never be taken for granted.
May the Almighty God guide our steps as we journey through life.
Once again, I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
