See How Teenager Stabs Her Newborn In Anambra After Hiding Pregnancy From Family

A 19-year-old girl and her newborn son are currently receiving medical care following a distressing incident in Anambra State on May 22.
According to reports, the teenager had concealed her pregnancy from her family and gave birth alone at home while other household members were away. After the birth, she allegedly inflicted injuries on the infant and left him in a nearby gutter in an apparent attempt to hide the situation.
A child in the area reportedly witnessed her actions and raised the alarm. Local residents quickly intervened, rescued the baby, and traced the young mother back to her home, where she was found bleeding and in distress.
Both the mother and baby were rushed to the hospital for urgent medical attention. The incident was shared on social media by Chinenye Henrietta, who posted a video and account of the events.
There are conflicting reports about what happened. While some believe the injuries were intentional, others suggest the teen may have harmed the baby and herself accidentally while attempting to cut the umbilical cord.
As of now, no arrests have been reported, and investigations are ongoing.
