See State Yahaya Bello Seeks to Move N83 Billion Fraud Case to

Yahaya Bello
Yahaya Bello, the former governor of Kogi State, has requested that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) transfer his fraud case to Kogi State.
Bello’s legal representatives claim that the alleged offense took place during his governorship, thus the case should be adjudicated in Kogi State.
Today, Bello is scheduled to be arraigned at the Federal High Court in Abuja on charges of fraud amounting to N82 billion.
The EFCC will handle the prosecution on behalf of the federal government.
Bello’s case is listed as number 7 on Justice Emeka Nwite’s docket.
It remains uncertain whether Bello will appear in court as anticipated.
