Armed bandits have reportedly kidnapped four students from the Paris Quarters, located behind the Federal University in Dutsinma, Katsina State.
This information was shared on Sunday by Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert focused on the Lake Chad region, through a post on his X handle.
According to Makama, the abduction took place around 2:20 a.m. on Sunday when the attackers, believed to be numerous, silently entered the area and took the four individuals.
The victims have been identified as Wali Kayode, Fahad Muhammad, Emmanuel (last name unknown), and another person whose identity has yet to be determined.
Makama reported that security forces were quickly deployed to the location following a distress call; however, by the time they arrived, the bandits had already fled.
Sources from the security forces mentioned that efforts are currently underway to track down the kidnappers and safely rescue the victims.
