See the Value of Naira against US Dollar as Naira Strengthens by N28
Naira and Dollar
The Naira made gains against the dollar in the foreign exchange market on Friday. According to data from the Nigerian Autonomous Foreign Exchange Market (NAFEM), the local currency appreciated by N28.05, trading at N1,631.21 per dollar, down from N1,659.26/$1 the day before.
In the parallel market, the Naira also rose by N10 against the dollar, now trading at N1,670/$1, compared to N1,680/$1 previously.
Against the British Pound, the Naira remained stable, trading at N2,270/£1, while it held steady against the Canadian dollar at N1,280/CA$1. The exchange rate against the Euro also remained unchanged at N1,870/€1.
