Seyi Tinubu Refutes Claims by NANS Acclaimed President Atiku Isah, Labels Allegations as Baseless
Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has firmly denied any connection or interaction with Atiku Abubakar Isah, the current acclaimed President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS).

In a statement posted to his Instagram account on Friday, Seyi stated unequivocally that he has never met or held any form of discussion with Atiku Isah. He also rejected allegations that he was involved in orchestrating an attack during a recent NANS-related event, describing the accusations as entirely fabricated.
“I have never knowingly met Comrade Atiku Isah, neither in Lagos nor elsewhere. I have never been involved in any meetings or gatherings that included him, and at no point have I been in the company of thugs,” Seyi wrote.
He went on to label the accusations as “completely fictional” and devoid of truth.
His response comes after a report by SaharaReporters, which published claims from Atiku Isah accusing Seyi Tinubu of supporting a rival faction within NANS and allegedly sponsoring an assault against him during the group’s inauguration ceremony in Abuja.
Further allegations by Isah include an attempt by Seyi Tinubu to offer him a N100 million bribe in an effort to influence his leadership decisions—a claim Seyi has categorically denied.
At a press briefing, Atiku Isah recounted being invited to Lagos where he met with Seyi Tinubu and the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande. According to Isah, during this meeting he was offered money to compromise his position but refused, claiming the rejection led to a violent disruption of his inauguration by individuals he says were linked to Seyi Tinubu.
Seyi, however, maintains that he played no role in the incident and reiterated that he does not interfere in student politics or related matters.
