Supreme Court Invalidates Rivers State Local Government Election
The Supreme Court has annulled the local government election held on October 5, 2024, by the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission. In a ruling delivered by Justice Jamilu Tukur, the court found the election to be in serious breach of the Electoral Act, rendering it invalid.
