A woman named Zara was reportedly killed by two men who had accompanied her to a hotel.
The tragic incident took place on Sunday night at a hotel located in the Kubwa area of the Federal Capital Territory.
Sources revealed that a heated argument erupted between Zara and the men inside their hotel room, resulting in one of the men stabbing her with a pair of scissors.
An anonymous resident disclosed to our correspondent that Zara was a commercial sex worker and suffered multiple stab wounds to her stomach and other parts of her body.
The resident stated, “We woke up this morning to learn about the death of a commercial sex worker at a hotel in Kubwa. The information we have is that an argument broke out between her and the two men. She was stabbed multiple times, including in the stomach.”
“The police arrived to remove the body and transfer it to the mortuary. We understand that two individuals have been taken into custody.”
Josephine Adeh, the FCT police spokesperson, confirmed the arrest of two suspects connected to Zara’s murder.
She reported, “The FCT Police Command received an urgent call from Galaxy Hotel Byazhin about an incident involving Maman Ajiya and Usman Lawal, both of no fixed address, who had checked into the hotel with Zara Tua. An altercation later led to Zara being stabbed with scissors. Police officers from the Byazhin Police Division were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, they found Ajiya severely beaten by a mob. Both the victim and suspects were transported to Kubwa General Hospital, where doctors declared the victim deceased.”
Adeh added that an investigation into the incident is currently underway.
