Suspected Fulani Militants Attack Communities in Benue, Kill Pastor and Others

On Friday, May 23, 2025, suspected Fulani militias launched a deadly attack on Tse Lisa in Gaav, Konshisha Local Government Area of Benue State. During the invasion, Pastor Angbande Emmanuel Terlumun of Christ Empire Ministry, Mbashonov City, was brutally killed.

Later that same evening, in nearby Imande Mbashonov, another victim, Terseer Zwa, was reportedly shot dead. Several others sustained serious injuries during the coordinated assaults.
The tragic incidents have left the affected communities in mourning and heightened concerns about security in the region. Authorities have yet to issue an official statement regarding the attacks or possible investigations.
