Tacha Reveals She Can’t Marry for Love Alone

Former Big Brother Naija contestant Natasha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has stirred conversations online after candidly stating that love by itself is no longer enough for her when it comes to marriage.
In a recent interview with Yanga FM Lagos, Tacha explained how her perspective on marriage has shifted since gaining fame and achieving financial independence.
She emphasized that marrying solely for love is no longer an option and that her future spouse must be financially successful, ideally wealthier than herself.
“I can’t marry just for love. I’m a millionaire, so I want a billionaire. My husband must be at a higher level financially,” she asserted.
Tacha further noted that before her Big Brother Naija journey in 2019, she might have been open to marrying purely for love, but her experiences and lifestyle changes have influenced her expectations.
She pointed out that her rise to prominence has altered how she views relationships, making financial compatibility and shared lifestyle priorities essential.
According to her, choosing a partner who doesn’t align with her economic and social standing could result in conflicts down the road.
