TERRORIST LEADERS IN DAN MUSA LGA, KATSINA STATE, SURRENDER ARMS AND FREE KIDNAPPED PERSONS

In a significant development under the ongoing disarmament and reintegration efforts spearheaded by Operation Fasan Yamma in partnership with key community and security stakeholders, a group of notorious bandit leaders operating in Dan Musa Local Government Area of Katsina State have voluntarily surrendered.
On 14 June 2025, the individuals—identified as Kamulu Buzaru, Manore, Nagwaggo, Lalbi, Alhaji Sani, Dogo Baidu, Dogo Nahalle, and Abdulkadir Black—gave up their weapons and released a total of 16 hostages, including seven women and nine children. They also publicly declared their decision to abandon criminal activity and work toward peaceful living within the community. The surrendered arms have been secured by the authorities.
As part of their commitment, the group has promised to release additional captives still in their hold by 15 June 2025. All those freed have been safely transferred to local government officials for care and support. Security forces continue to maintain a strong presence in the area, ensuring that peace and stability are preserved as the process of reconciliation and reintegration unfolds.
