The Victims of Soludo’s Insecurity Won’t Forgive Us If He Gets a Second Term – APC Aspirant
Professor Obiora Okonkwo, a leading aspirant for the Anambra 2025 governorship election under the APC, has vowed to oust Governor Chukwuma Soludo, claiming his administration has only brought suffering, insecurity, and hardship to the state.
After submitting his nomination forms at the APC national secretariat in Abuja, Okonkwo criticized Soludo’s handling of the security challenges facing Anambra, stating that allowing him a second term would be a grave injustice to the victims of violence during his tenure.
“We have endured pain, sorrow, and suffering under Governor Soludo, rather than seeing the promised transformation of Anambra into a prosperous hub like Taiwan, Hong Kong, or Japan,” Okonkwo remarked.
He questioned why it took Soludo so long to address the state’s growing security issues, calling the governor’s response “too little, too late.” Okonkwo added that the spirits of those who lost their lives to violence would never forgive the people of Anambra if Soludo were granted a second term.
The APC aspirant also rejected rumors of a supposed pact between Soludo and the presidency aimed at delivering 25% of votes to President Bola Tinubu in 2027. Okonkwo insisted that the APC must strive for complete control of Anambra, rather than settling for a partial victory.
